Kaonashi vocalist Peter Rono was forced to modify his performance during the band’s recent shows after suffering a knee injury during their September 26 concert in Dallas, Texas.
Following the injury, Rono performed the band’s September 27 set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while seated for portions of the performance. The vocalist later revealed that he visited an emergency room in Albuquerque, where fluid was drained from his injured knee before he returned to the stage.
Rono detailed the situation in a social media update, explaining that despite the injury and treatment, he was able to perform the Albuquerque show.
“Last night in Dallas, I injured my knee.
“I played the set sitting down and then went to the ER in Albuquerque this morning. I got a bunch of fluid drained from my knee and then played the set sitting down and standing up tonight.
“Tour continues tomorrow in Mesa at @therosettaroom with @thenumber12lookslikeyou”
With Kaonashi’s current tour continuing through October, Rono is expected to remain on the road as the band works through an extensive run alongside The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Blind Equation and Differences.
