Australian progressive alternative metal outfit Karnivool have unveiled the official music video for their latest single “Opal”, following the track’s debut earlier this month. The video was directed by Adam Rule, who worked closely with the band to capture their unique vision.
Commenting on the clip, the band said:
“We wanted to have the painted animated world in this clip to feel akin to the album cover art in some way, keeping the same tones and palette. When Adam and the Rythm guys suggested this approach, it clicked with us as the sleeping giant idea was something that stuck from the very first writing sessions through to the final version here – it’s got a bit of power as well as beauty to it.”
“Opal” is the third single released from Karnivool’s upcoming album, In Verses, their first full-length in over a decade. The album is set for release on February 6th via Cymatic Records/The Orchard.
