King Diamond is giving one of his classic releases a new vinyl treatment just in time for Halloween, with the Danish metal legend preparing a picture disc edition of his ‘Halloween’ EP.
Originally issued through Roadrunner Records in 1986, the three-track release will return on October 23 via Metal Blade Records. The upcoming pressing will feature newly updated artwork created by Mario Lopez.
The ‘Halloween’ EP’s track listing brings together the title track with two songs connected to King Diamond’s landmark debut solo album, ‘Fatal Portrait’. Alongside “Halloween,” the picture disc will include “The Candle” from that record, as well as its B-side “The Lake.”
The new pressing is now available for pre-order through Metal Blade Records, giving collectors a chance to pick up the seasonal release in a new format nearly four decades after the EP’s original arrival.
