Knocked Loose have donated $8,000 to help support a fan who was left paralyzed following an accident during the band’s set at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.
According to local reports, Jamie Ulshoffer was watching the Kentucky metalcore band’s performance from toward the back of the tented stage area when another attendee who had climbed into a nearby tree reportedly fell from it and landed on her.
Ulshoffer was taken to a nearby hospital following the incident, where doctors determined that her spinal cord had been severed, resulting in paralysis from the waist down.
In the aftermath, Ulshoffer’s friends and family established a GoFundMe campaign to help cover her medical expenses and provide financial support as she faces an uncertain future.
Knocked Loose’s $8,000 contribution has now been added to those efforts, providing additional assistance toward the costs associated with Ulshoffer’s recovery and long-term care.
The incident occurred during the band’s performance at the Louisville festival last weekend. The circumstances surrounding the accident have also prompted continued attention to Ulshoffer’s ongoing medical and financial needs.
