Knocked Loose guitarist Isaac Hale has unveiled two new musical endeavors: Everybody Dies and Couldn’t Be Me. Both bands recently dropped their self-titled debut EPs, marking Hale’s expansion into new sonic territory as a frontman.
Everybody Dies brings together Hale with Year Of The Knife’s Andrew and Aaron Kisielewski, alongside Sanguisugabogg drummer Cody Davidson. Their debut EP arrived earlier this week and leans into an aggressive, metallic hardcore sound.
Meanwhile, Couldn’t Be Me—which released its EP back in mid-March—features Chandler Daub (Two Witnesses), Skyler Storm (Brainseed), and Blake Smith (Surfaced). Hale handles vocal duties across both groups.
Sharing the news, Hale commented:
“I started two new bands. EVERYBODY DIES and COULDN’T BE ME are both streaming now.
These have been a long time coming, and it’s been fun writing and learning how to sing for both. Thanks to everyone who helped put them together.”
In addition to his role in the GRAMMY-nominated Knocked Loose, Hale also plays in XweaponX and Inclination, while contributing production work for a variety of heavy acts.

Kelly Sengpiel
He sounds like an angry garden gnome…..
Kenneth Hall Isaac is the backing vocalist and guitarist, Bryan Garris is the one that sounds like you just cut his balls off lmao
Garrett Holcombe go listen to Isaac’s band Everybody Dies. That’s who I’m talking about. Bryan sounds unique and awesome, as does Issac. Issac just happens to sound like something from middle earth.
Everybody Dies is straight up late 90’s SFU and that’s my favorite era, so I’m a fan.
Let’s get a XweaponX full length
