Lamb Of God Drop ‘Blunt Force Blues’ Visualizer Video

Lamb Of God have released a visualizer for their new single “Blunt Force Blues,” the final preview from their upcoming album Into Oblivion, due out March 13 via Epic Records.

While Into Oblivion explores a world in upheaval, “Blunt Force Blues” turns inward. The track reflects on the band’s formative years in Richmond, Virginia, and the tight-knit local scene that helped shape their sound.

Frontman Randy Blythe spoke about the band’s early influences, saying:

“We learned how to play by watching and hanging out with other local dudes. That’s what we aspired to do – keep up with good local bands. They were just as much of an influence on us as any of the bigger bands from different cities.”

Guitarist Mark Morton added that the new material reflects a band comfortable in its own creative space more than 25 years into its career:

“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation. It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
