Left To Suffer have dropped a brand new track titled “Gun In The Duffel Bag,” marking another step forward in the band’s next era following their recent signing with Hopeless Records.
The deathcore outfit have been hard at work on new material, having entered the studio earlier this year with acclaimed producer Josh Schroeder, whose resume includes work with Lorna Shore and Signs Of The Swarm. The sessions are expected to contribute to the band’s forthcoming album.
Discussing the new single, vocalist Taylor Barber explained the emotional intensity behind the song:
“This song is about when your anger has boiled over and you’ve lost all sense of control on your emotions. So you’re violently romanticizing the downfall for your enemies in your head.”
Guitarist Peter Higgs also weighed in on the track, describing it as one of the band’s most personal and direct releases to date:
“‘Gun In The Duffel Bag‘ is one of the more brutally honest songs we’ve put out when it comes to anger, regret and survival instinct happening all at the same time. Cant think of a better way to settle in and show everyone this new chapter we’ve entered with Hopeless Records.”
“Gun In The Duffel Bag” showcases the band’s continued blend of crushing heaviness and raw emotional themes, while also serving as an early indication of what fans can expect from the group’s next full-length release. With a new label partnership in place and fresh material beginning to emerge, Left To Suffer appear poised for a major next chapter.
