LEVITATION 2025 Announces Massive Lineup Featuring MASTODON, ACID BATH & More

The annual LEVITATION festival is shaking things up in 2025 with a brand new home and an expansive genre-spanning lineup. This year’s event will take place September 25th–28th at the Palmer Events Center in the heart of Austin, TX, marking a major move for the long-running fest.

The diverse lineup includes heavy hitters like Mastodon, Acid Bath, The Sword, and Blood Incantation, alongside genre-defying acts such as TV On The Radio, Pavement, Blonde Redhead, and The Black Angels. It’s a bold curation that merges psych, sludge, indie, and metal into one of the most forward-thinking festivals in the country.

Speaking on the decision to move venues, LEVITATION co-founder and director Rob Fitzpatrick shared:

“We’ve been searching for the right location to bring a multi-stage experience back to LEVITATION for years, and we found it right downtown… We’re very excited to create something remarkable and built to last in this new home for the festival, and we can’t wait to experience this lineup with everyone in September.”

The Palmer Events Center brings improved production capabilities, air conditioning, better parking, and a shaded outdoor courtyard — a major upgrade for fans used to the unpredictable Texas weather.

In addition to the main stage action, nightly aftershows will take place across legendary Austin venues including Stubb’s, Mohawk, Elysium, Kingdom, 13th Floor, and more.
