Mathcore supergroup Living Weapon have returned with a new single, “Interspecies Quality Assessment,” the latest preview of their upcoming debut album, ‘Death In The Family.’
The track arrives alongside a newly released music video directed by Eric Richter, whose past credits include visual work for Knocked Loose and Dying Wish.
Featuring members of Vein.fm, Fleshwater, and other notable names from the heavy music scene, Living Weapon have quickly emerged as one of the more intriguing new projects in modern mathcore. Their debut full-length, ‘Death In The Family,’ is slated for a digital release on August 14 through Closed Casket Activities, with physical editions scheduled to follow in September.
Earlier this month, the band introduced the record with lead single “The Leaving Process,” which was also accompanied by a Richter-directed music video.
With “Interspecies Quality Assessment,” Living Weapon continue to lean into the chaotic, technical and abrasive sound that has generated significant attention around the project ahead of the release of ‘Death In The Family.’
