Lovebites Unleash New Single “Reaper’s Lullaby” As ‘Outstanding Power’ Arrives

Lovebites have released a brand new music video for “Reaper’s Lullaby” alongside the arrival of their fifth studio album, ‘Outstanding Power,’ out now through Napalm Records.

The Japanese power metal quintet described the song as one of the heaviest and most aggressive tracks in their catalog, leaning into harsher textures and a darker visual aesthetic than fans may expect from the band.

Discussing the single, the group explained:

“While our music is fundamentally rooted in power metal, we embrace a wide range of musical styles. Among them, ‘Reaper’s Lullaby’ can be described as a fast and brutal track at 240 BPM, featuring tremolo riffs that convey a cold, chilling atmosphere and distill one of the most aggressive facets of Lovebites’ musical identity.”

They also noted that the accompanying video was intentionally designed to reflect the darker tone of the song:

“The music video also stays true to the song’s image, depicting us performing within a circle formed by candles, resulting in a dark visual presentation that differs from previous Lovebites music videos.”

Fresh off their recent performance at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo, Lovebites are now shifting focus toward international touring in support of the album. The band will head across Europe and the UK later this summer, including an appearance at Germany’s iconic Wacken Open Air.

Musically, ‘Outstanding Power’ continues to showcase the band’s blend of speed-driven power metal, melodic hooks, and technically ambitious musicianship. The album moves between galloping anthems, heavier thrash-inspired moments, and emotional balladry, highlighting the versatility that has helped elevate the band within the global metal scene.
