Finnish alternative metal outfit LUNA KILLS have unveiled the official music video for their latest single “Supervillain”.
The nü-metal-influenced track pairs its heavy sound with lyrics built around an apocalyptic metaphor. Vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen explained that the song uses the image of the sun going supernova to explore people whose growing egos and influence can have destructive consequences.
“The lyrics depict our sun going supernova, and it serves as a metaphor of a certain type of people that suck the air out of the spaces they inhabit. As their influence and power rises along their ego it will lead up to their inevitable fall which might have terrible consequences for others around them.”
