MAMMOTH Channels ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ in Robert Rodriguez-Directed “The End” Video

Mammoth (formerly Mammoth WVH) has unleashed a cinematic spectacle with the music video for their new single, “The End.” Enlisting legendary director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Desperado) to helm the project, the clip pays tribute to his cult 1996 vampire film From Dusk Till Dawn, while also channeling the iconic horror flair of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead, Fallout) handled the special makeup effects, helping bring the supernatural vision to life. The video also boasts some major cameos, featuring Danny Trejo, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, and Wolfgang Van Halen’s mother, Valerie Bertinelli.

Speaking on the song, Wolfgang shared:

“I’ve had the tapping idea on the intro for ‘The End’ since before Mammoth. I was able to fit it into this world. It’s still over-the-top and shreddy, but it’s also melodic and controlled. Overall, I was doing some different things on the record, and I knew this was going to be a big step. Once we finished ‘The End,’ it felt really special to me.”

To celebrate the release, Mammoth has announced a fall U.S. headlining tour with Myles Kennedy as direct support.
