Veteran NYC metalcore legends Merauder have officially announced the addition of Marc Rizzo—known for his acclaimed work with Soulfly and Ill Niño—to their lineup.
In a statement shared over the weekend, the band said:
“Merauder is proud to officially welcome Marc Rizzo to the band. Widely recognized for his formidable contributions to Soulfly and Ill Niño, Marc brings a wealth of experience, technical mastery, and a commanding stage presence to the lineup.”
With Rizzo now joining guitarist Kevin Mahon, bassist Gabe “Biggz” Saldivar, drummer Ely Castillo, and vocalist Jorge Rosado, the group plans to begin work on new material that aims to expand and evolve the Merauder sound.
The band hinted that 2026 will be a landmark year filled with new music and live performances, closing their statement by adding:
“Stay tuned for exciting updates as the band embarks on this new chapter. Big things are on the way.”
