Marilyn Manson has just unveiled the second track of his musical comeback. The multi-platinum shock rocker is making a bid to relaunch his career amid a storm of allegations of sexual assault and misconduct brought by over a dozen women in 2021.
These allegations led to several civil lawsuits, with some cases, along with a defamation suit of his own, still ongoing. Manson’s public fall from grace saw him dropped by his label, manager, and talent agency in response to the accusations.
For his part, Manson has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming through legal filings that they are part of a coordinated effort led by his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood and her associate Ilma Gore to defame him. He’s actively pursuing these claims through a defamation suit against the duo.
Earlier this month, Manson kicked off his first tour since 2019 and released his first new music since 2020. Following the debut of his track “As Sick As The Secrets Within”, the controversial 55-year-old musician has now dropped a second single: “Raise The Red Flag”.
The music video for “Raise The Red Flag”, once again directed by Bill Yukich (Ghost, Metallica), is now live. A limited edition maxi CD single featuring both tracks and the unreleased “FRONT TOWARD ENEMY” is also available at mm.bfan.link/raise-the-red-flag.
Manson is currently hitting the road across North America, with plans to venture into Europe and the UK in the new year. His latest backing band includes Tyler Bates and Reba Meyers (Code Orange, etc.), Piggy D. (ex-Rob Zombie, etc.) on bass, and Gil Sharone (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) on drums.
