Marilyn Manson has rolled out a Black Friday–exclusive 12″ picture disc edition of his cover of Phil Collins’ multi-platinum 1981 single “In The Air Tonight”. Manson first issued his take on the track this past April, adding it to his steadily expanding collection of 80s covers—previous entries include reworks of the Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, and “Tainted Love”.
He’s far from the only heavier act to interpret the Collins classic. Nonpoint famously found success with their version in the early 2000s, even landing a placement in the film adaptation of Miami Vice. Multi-platinum alternative metal outfit In This Moment have also tackled the track.
This new 12″ pressing—separate from official Record Store Day exclusives—is limited to 5,000 copies and available now through Nuclear Blast. Like the prior CD release, the B-side features “As Sick As The Secrets Of (Sleep)”.
