Marilyn Manson has made a return to music, releasing his first new song since his career was interrupted by numerous sexual assault allegations from multiple women. This new single, called “As Sick As The Secrets Within“, marks Manson‘s first since 2020, and his first through his new label, Nuclear Blast.
This track, along with a series of summer tours, marks Manson‘s initial steps in attempting to relaunch his career. His career came to a halt in February 2021 when his ex-fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, publicly accused him of abuse. Following her accusations, over a dozen women made similar claims, leading to Manson being dropped by his manager, label, talent agent, and others. Manson has publicly denied all allegations.
Since then, Manson has largely stayed out of the spotlight. While several women who accused him of sexual assault filed civil lawsuits, many of these have now been resolved, either through settlements or, in one case, being dropped.
However, Manson still faces multiple allegations in court, along with a defamation suit he filed against Wood and her associate. Additionally, he is dealing with a revived lawsuit regarding a spitting incident at a 2019 concert.
