Matt Heafy Accidentally Tells Crowd to Raise Their Fleshlights at TRIVIUM Show

Matt Heafy, vocalist/guitarist of Trivium, had a hilarious onstage slip-up over the weekend—and he didn’t shy away from sharing it with the world. In a self-deprecating post, Heafy uploaded a video of the moment to social media, issuing a mock apology for the gaffe.

While hyping the crowd mid-show, Heafy attempted to rally fans to raise their phone lights, lighters, or flashlights into the air. Instead, he accidentally told the audience to raise their Fleshlights, before immediately catching the mistake and correcting himself.

“Fleshlights?! I meant flashlights!” Heafy laughed, visibly amused by the blunder.

The clip has the potential to go viral—and hopefully not inspire anyone to take the joke literally. After all, mosh pits don’t exactly need the hygiene bar lowered any further.

Trivium are currently wrapping up the North American leg of their “Ascendancy” 20th anniversary tour alongside Bullet For My Valentine (celebrating 20 years of “The Poison”), August Burns Red, and Bleed From Within. Remaining dates include:
