    Matty Matheson Launches Hardcore Band Pig Pen Featuring Members of Alexisonfire & More

    Chef, restaurateur, actor, and TV personality Matty Matheson has unveiled his new hardcore band, Pig Pen. Taking on vocal duties, Matheson is joined by an impressive lineup of musicians, including Alexisonfire’s Wade MacNeil on guitar and backing vocals.

    Rounding out the band, Canadian prog rock/country artist Daniel Romano will contribute additional guitar work, while his brother Ian Romano handles drums. Tommy Major will take on bass duties.

    Pig Pen is set to make their live debut at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto, ON, on April 25th, with Best Wishes and Pluto’s Kiss as support. A teaser of their music has also surfaced.

    Discussing the band’s formation earlier today, MacNeil—known for his work with Gallows, Thursday, and more—shared:

    “Just when you thought I couldn’t possibly join ANOTHER band. WE GO AND START PIG PEN. Featuring Matty Matheson, Daniel Romano, Ian Romano, Tommy Major & Myself.”

        Spencer Guillaume matties been a part of the hardcore scene for years, and put on tonnes of shows at his old restaurant, he’s done more for the music scene than you could ever do.

      This is great. Btw Daniel Romano is a Canadian gem.. I love Wade Macneil and Matty. But I have to say… you have to check out Daniel Romano, attack in black, the outfit. Unreal songwriter. Message me if you want an intro to his music. He’s done everything from punk to country…. And now hardcore..
