Meshuggah appear to be preparing something special for 2027, when the Swedish extreme metal veterans will officially celebrate their 40th anniversary.
The band have already spent the past couple of years revisiting portions of their catalog through various reissues and remastered releases, but a brief clip shared by Meshuggah today, September 25th, suggests that their anniversary plans may extend beyond their recent archival activity.
While the band have yet to reveal exactly what they have in store, the timing of the new teaser certainly points toward their upcoming milestone being part of the equation.
More details are expected to emerge as Meshuggah approach their 40th anniversary in 2027.
