Meshuggah have confirmed a digital release date for newly remastered editions of two of their most influential albums, bringing refreshed versions of ‘Destroy Erase Improve’ and ‘Catch Thirtythree’ to streaming platforms this summer.
Both releases are scheduled to arrive on July 24th via Reigning Phoenix Music, alongside new CD and vinyl pressings. The remasters were previously issued in extremely limited form for Record Store Day earlier this year, with only 1,600 copies pressed for each title.
The upcoming digital editions include the 30th anniversary remaster of 1995’s ‘Destroy Erase Improve’, as well as the 20th anniversary remaster of 2005’s ‘Catch Thirtythree’. While no additional tracks have been added, the label has begun previewing the updated audio, including refreshed versions of “Future Breed Machine” and “Shed.”
Reigning Phoenix Music has been steadily working through updated anniversary editions of key entries in Meshuggah’s catalog, with remastering handled by Thomas Eberger and Sofia von Hage.
The new releases continue a broader archival push highlighting some of the band’s most defining and technically influential work from across their career.
