Metallica Announces Deluxe Remastered Edition of ‘ReLoad’ for June

Metallica is set to give Reload the deluxe treatment next, with a newly remastered expanded edition of the band’s 1997 album arriving on June 26.

The reissue is being presented as ReLoad, and it has been remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering, with oversight from longtime Metallica collaborator Greg Fidelman. The release will be available as a massive limited-edition box set packed with unreleased demos, rough mixes, live performances, TV appearances, and more.

The box set includes the remastered ReLoad album on 180g double vinyl, a “The Memory Remains” 7-inch, and Live at Ministry of Sound ’97 on 140g triple vinyl. The set also features 15 CDs covering everything from the remastered album to riffs, demos, B-sides, rarities, and live material.

“Plus, its four DVDs are jam-packed with behind-the-scenes in-studio footage, live footage, on-air and television appearances, the band’s pop-up performance at the CoreStates Complex Parking Lot in Philadelphia, visits to Seoul, and more.”

Rounding out the package are collectible extras including Rorschach Test cards, a Gimme Fuel poster, a sticker, a Pushead print, guitar and bass picks, lyric sheets, laminated tour passes, and a 128-page book featuring rare photos and stories from the era.

Pre-orders are available now through Metallica’s official store, with the set also including the bonus live performance of “The Memory Remains” from the Banned In Philly DVD.
