Metallica Announce ‘Life Burns Faster’ October 2026 Sphere Residency In Las Vegas

After nearly a year of speculation, Metallica have officially confirmed their long-rumored residency at Sphere in Las Vegas.

The legendary thrash metal band first hinted in April 2025 that they were open to performing at the immersive venue. Now, on February 25, the group made it official, revealing an eight-show run this fall under the banner ‘Life Burns Faster.’

The band shared the following statement announcing the residency:

“Surprise! The world’s worst-kept secret is now official… we are bringing our No Repeat Weekends to Sphere in Las Vegas this fall!!

Our Sphere weekend residency, Life Burns Faster, will debut on October 1 & 3, with six more shows to follow. As you’ve come to expect, each set of shows will be No Repeat Weekends, meaning if you attend both the Thursday and Saturday shows, you will not hear the same song twice.

Life Burns Faster set lists will span the entire catalog, enhanced by the venue’s immersive technologies that will allow you to experience the ’Tallica sound in new experiential dimensions. Whether you’ve seen us from the upper reaches of a stadium or arena, at an intimate club or theater gig, or from the Snake Pit, Sphere’s technology will present an entirely new live experience for everyone in the house…including us!

We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months’ time and way fuckin’ psyched to go next level, it’s completely uncharted territory! This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with you guys in a live setting, and we can’t wait to see you there!”

As with previous No Repeat Weekend runs, fans attending both Thursday and Saturday shows during a given weekend will not hear the same song twice.

Two-night and single-night tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10:00 AM PT. Fan Club presales begin Monday, March 2, followed by additional presales in the days after. The band is also bringing back their all-access pass — now rebranded as the “Full House” Ticket (formerly the “I Disappear” Ticket) — which grants entry to every 2026 Sphere performance.

A variety of VIP and travel packages will also be available, including meet-and-greet access, onstage photo opportunities, Black Box Experience entry, priority venue access, and Snake Pit positioning. Travel packages include a three-night hotel stay, exclusive merchandise, commemorative laminate and lanyard, concierge service, and more, with premium tiers offering airport transport and live audio downloads from both shows.

The residency promises to fully utilize Sphere’s immersive capabilities, including its wraparound ultra-high-resolution LED display, precision spatial audio, and 4D multi-sensory effects — creating what the band describes as an entirely new live experience.
