Mire, featuring former As I Lay Dying guitarist Nick Hipa, have unveiled the video for their new single ‘Pale Reflection’ and announced details for their upcoming full-length album of the same name.
The metalcore outfit worked with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life) on the record, which is scheduled for release on April 10th. The album marks the first material recorded with the band’s newest member, drummer JP Andrade.
Alongside Hipa, Mire’s lineup includes vocalist Benton McKibben and guitarist/bassist Ryan Glisan. Speaking on January 23rd, Hipa reflected on the long road to finally releasing the material.
“Stoked to finally release some new @thebandmire music!” Hipa wrote. “The best time to drop new tunes was actually in 2023 when we had the whole record written… the THIRD best time is right now.”
He went on to explain that ‘Pale Reflection’ serves as both the album’s title track and a key milestone for the band.
“Today we’re releasing the first single ‘Pale Reflection,’ which is the title track off our upcoming album Pale Reflection,” he continued. “It is the first to feature our rad new drummer @johnpaulondrums and was mostly recorded at @atriumaudio in Lititz, PA, by the super talented and very chill duo of @grantrmcfarland and @carsonslovak who also handled mixing and mastering.”
The release represents a fresh chapter for Mire, combining seasoned songwriting with a renewed lineup as the band officially move forward with their debut full-length statement.
