Music Video Released for The Funeral Portrait and Five Finger Death Punch Frontman Ivan Moody’s “Holy Water” Collaboration

A music video for the newly released collaboration between The Funeral Portrait and Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody is now available for viewing. The track is an updated version of The Funeral Portrait’s single “Holy Water,” set to be included on a deluxe edition of the band’s current album Greetings From Suffocate City, due out June 13th.

The music video was directed by Michael Lombardi of Better Noise Films, who shared his experience of the shoot:

“We had to film The Funeral Portrait on a day off between shows in Philadelphia and New York City. That posed a challenge in finding the perfect gothic-style church location I envisioned. After scouting several places, I eventually found a stunning old, abandoned church in the Poconos in Pennsylvania.”

Vocalist Lee Jennings of The Funeral Portrait reflected on the filming process, stating:

“Filming the ‘Holy Water’ music video was an insane experience. The production quality was on another level—every detail, every shot was unreal. Michael Lombardi’s vision was bigger than we ever imagined, turning it into a full cinematic experience. And having Ivan Moody involved? That took it to an entirely new level. His energy and presence elevated everything. We can’t wait for fans to see what we created—it’s dark, intense, and truly special.”

Jennings also previously discussed the significance of collaborating with Moody:

“‘Holy Water’ has always been one of the most personal and cathartic songs I’ve ever written. It’s about confronting your darkest moments and finding the strength to cleanse yourself from their weight. The connection it’s made with fans, especially at our live shows, has been incredibly powerful. Watching the crowd scream the lyrics back at us is proof that music can heal. Having Ivan Moody join us on this track took it to a whole new level. His energy, passion, and personal story made him the perfect voice for this chapter, and we’re honored to have him as part of it.”

Moody shared his thoughts on the collaboration:

“Before our tour together, I wasn’t very familiar with The Funeral Portrait’s music, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after watching them night after night, I was hooked. The way they command the stage and connect with the crowd is incredible. Their passion, intensity, and raw emotion make them one of the most exciting new bands around. And Lee’s voice? Absolutely amazing—one of my favorite new singers!

We had talked about working together before the tour, but the timing never aligned. Then, one day while driving, I heard ‘Holy Water’ on the radio and couldn’t help but sing along. It’s such an amazing track! That brought back the idea of collaborating, so I reached out to Lee about possibly redoing the song. Luckily, he was all in—and here we are. The rest is history.”
