Houston black metal outfit Necrofier have unveiled a new music video for their track “Fires Of The Apocalypse, Light My Path I”, continuing the rollout behind their latest full-length release.
The Bryan Forrester-directed clip arrives shortly after the band issued their newest album, ‘Transcend Into Oblivion’, which was released last week through Metal Blade Records. The record marks the group’s latest step forward in expanding their atmospheric yet aggressive take on black metal.
Speaking about the meaning behind the song, vocalist and guitarist Bakka offered insight into the themes driving the track:
“The beginning when your eyes see for the first time. Something in you has changed but you don’t know what it is yet. You’re drawn to it, it consumes you. You are not the person you were before, but you don’t know why and how yet. New beginnings burn deep in the soul.”
The video leans into the song’s introspective and transformative themes, pairing stark imagery with the band’s dark sonic atmosphere as they continue promoting their newest material.
