Necrot Sign With Metal Blade Records

Oakland, California death metal trio Necrot have officially entered a new era, announcing their signing with legendary extreme music label Metal Blade Records.

After spending the last 15 years carving out their reputation in the underground on their own terms, the band confirmed the partnership while teasing that new music is already in progress. In a statement accompanying the announcement, the group reflected on the milestone and what lies ahead:

“It is extremely exciting to announce that Necrot has signed with Metal Blade Records! We’ve been a band for 15 years making death metal the way we want to and Metal Blade has been here for almost 45 years supporting extreme metal bands from all over the world.

We feel confident that this new chapter will be great for us and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on for our next album! We are looking forward to seeing you guys on our upcoming tour, 30 dates across the US and Canada… and of course, stay tuned for more announcements from Necrot and Metal Blade!”

The signing signals the next phase for Necrot, who have steadily built momentum through relentless touring and critically praised releases rooted in old-school death metal tradition. While details on their forthcoming album remain under wraps, the band confirmed that new material is currently in the works.

Coinciding with the announcement, Necrot are preparing to hit the road for a lengthy North American run this spring, including a stretch of dates alongside Cryptopsy, Fulci, and Blood Monolith, followed by several international festival appearances later this year.
