Avant-garde metal supergroup Nightmarer have unleashed “Shame Spiral”, the first single from their upcoming EP Hell Interface, set for release on January 30th. The track marks the debut of new permanent co-vocalist Christian Kolf of Valborg, adding a fresh dynamic to the band already featuring members and alumni of The Ocean, War From A Harlots Mouth, and Gigan.
A press release detailed the sonic direction of the track:
“Shame Spiral captures the band in a state of deliberate transformation: a rawer, more immediate evolution of the suffocating dissonance and meticulous sound design heard on their previous album Deformity Adrift. Blackened atmospheres, tectonic doom, and atonal violence collide in a downward pull that feels inescapable.”
Fans can pre-order Hell Interface via Bandcamp ahead of its January 30th release.
