Technical death metal veterans Nile and Swiss technical thrash legends Coroner are teaming up for a co-headlining U.S. tour next spring.
The extensive run will also feature California melodic death metal outfit Syn Absence as the opening act. The tour will kick off in early March and continue through April, bringing the three bands to venues across the country.
Nile vocalist/guitarist Karl Sanders expressed his excitement about sharing the road with Coroner, a band he has admired for decades.
“I’ve been a fan of Coroner since the ‘Masked Jackal’ / ‘Punishment for Decadence’ days. I discovered them because I was a Celtic Frost and Voivod fan. I was always inspired by their incredible musicianship, and the super creative, genre-transcending compositions on all their classic records.”
Sanders added:
“Coroner are also an incredibly killer, always spectacular live band that we in Nile have infinite respect for. It’s going to be wild! If you are a Metal fan, this is a tour not to be missed.”
Nile drummer George Kollias is equally enthusiastic about the pairing, noting that he has been waiting years for the opportunity to tour with Coroner.
“Touring with Coroner is something I was expecting for years! Incredible line up…. I think this is going to be THE ULTIMATE TOUR!!!!! Hope to see all the fans there!!!”
Tickets for the newly announced tour will go on sale September 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
