Nine Inch Nails are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the landmark video game ‘Quake’ with a new merchandise collection honoring the band’s involvement in the iconic first-person shooter.
Released in 1996, ‘Quake’ helped redefine the FPS genre and online multiplayer gaming. Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails created the game’s original soundtrack, while Reznor also provided voice work for the main character.
The anniversary collection features several items inspired by the game, including a recreation of the in-game nailgun and super nailgun ammunition box. Measuring 3.75 x 3.75 x 3.75 inches, the collectible brings one of ‘Quake’‘s most recognizable items into the real world.
Also included in the collection are a vinyl edition of the original soundtrack, a hoodie, a T-shirt, and an ammo box keychain that plays one of Reznor’s jump sound effects from the game.
