Nine Inch Nails Surprise Release ‘Tron Ares: Divergence’ Companion Album

Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees Nine Inch Nails have unexpectedly unveiled a new companion release tied to last year’s ‘Tron Ares’ film soundtrack. The newly issued collection, titled ‘Tron Ares: Divergence’, arrived today (February 27th), expanding on the material the band created for the sci-fi franchise installment.

The industrial icons returned from a lengthy hiatus to score Tron: Ares, marking a major comeback moment for the project. Earlier this year, the band earned a GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Song for the soundtrack single “As Alive As You Need Me To Be,” further cementing the impact of their return.

‘Tron Ares: Divergence’ compiles previously unreleased compositions from the original scoring sessions alongside an extensive slate of remixes. The set features reworks from producers and artists including Boys Noize, Mark Pritchard, Lanark Artefax, Chilly Gonzales, Danny L Harle (with Judeline), Jack Dangers, Pixel Grip, Working Men’s Club, The Dare, Schwefelgelb, and Arca.
