Philadelphia shoegaze outfit Nothing have unveiled the official music video for their latest single, “Toothless Coal”, the third track to be released from their forthcoming album A Short History Of Decay, due February 27th. The video, directed by Don Argott, is now streaming online.
The band’s fifth studio album sees frontman Domenic “Nicky” Palermo exploring intensely personal themes. Lyrically, A Short History Of Decay delves into Palermo’s struggles with essential tremors, his traumatic childhood, and past battles with substance abuse, offering a raw and intimate look into his life.
“‘Toothless Coal’ is part of this new chapter for us,” Palermo shared. “It’s about confronting pain and decay, both personally and in the world around us. This record has been a way to process everything I’ve gone through and turn it into something tangible.”
Fans can stream the video now and anticipate a record that blends Nothing’s signature hazy, guitar-driven shoegaze with poignant storytelling.
