Omnium Gatherum Surprise Release New Single “Moongold”

Finnish melodic death metallers Omnium Gatherum have dropped a surprise new single, “Moongold,” today, January 22nd. The track originates from sessions for their latest album, May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way, and the band describes it as a high-energy, live-focused anthem.

Vocalist Jukka Pelkonen explained:

“‘Moongold’ follows the overall style of the album. It’s fast and packed with energy, and while the song is somewhat stripped down, its layers reveal themselves after a few spins. It’s one of my favorites from these sessions, and I truly hope it will make its way into our live setlist.”

Guitarist Markus Vanhala added context about the track’s history:

“‘Moongold’ was originally released as a Japan-exclusive around the album’s release. It didn’t fit the album’s flow, but it stands strong on its own as a melodic death metal anthem – a slightly more old-school version, served now for all fans.”

Omnium Gatherum will be touring Europe and the UK next month with Fallujah and In Mourning. Tour dates include:
