Opeth are celebrating the first anniversary of their fourteenth studio album The Last Will And Testament with the debut of a new animated video for the track ‘Paragraph 3’. Released on November 22nd, 2024, the album marked a notable creative shift, reintroducing death metal elements the band had set aside since transitioning toward progressive rock following 2008’s Watershed.

The video—directed and animated by Absynthe Moon Media—expands on the dark narrative crafted by vocalist/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt. Across The Last Will And Testament, Åkerfeldt builds a storyline centered around a post–World War I family inheritance, where the reading of a patriarch’s will reveals a series of unsettling and transformative secrets.
