Ozzy Osbourne & Billy Morrison’s Unreleased Track Hits Airplay Charts Amid Copyright Lawsuit

A yet-to-be-officially-released track from heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne and longtime collaborator Billy Morrison has already climbed to #26 on this week’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, per Forbes. Titled “Gods Of Rock N Roll,” the track debuted last month on ‘Ozzy’s Boneyard‘ via SiriusXM, sparking widespread radio play.

This newly enhanced version of their 2015 song “Gods” now features a full 61-piece orchestra and choir. Though it remains unreleased to the public for now, a music video is set to premiere this Friday, February 14th, alongside its official digital release.

The track will also appear as a bonus addition on the deluxe edition of Billy Morrison’s upcoming album, The Morrison Project, due out February 21st. That expanded release will also include demo and remix versions of “Crack Cocaine,” a past collaboration between Osbourne and Morrison.

However, not all news is positive for the Prince of Darkness. Famed rock photographer Neil Zlozower has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Osbourne, alleging unauthorized use of his photos featuring Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, and more. Billboard reports that Zlozower contacted Osbourne’s team three times this year requesting the removal of the images but received no response, prompting legal action.
