WWE has released an official statement mourning the loss of heavy metal icon and WWE Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away at the age of 76. The company wrote:

“WWE is saddened to learn that music icon and WWE Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Osbourne’s family, friends, and fans.”

Known as the voice of Black Sabbath and a pioneering force in heavy metal, Ozzy Osbourne’s connection to WWE spanned decades. Black Sabbath’s legendary track “War Pigs” became the theme for both NXT TakeOver: WarGames and Survivor Series: WarGames, cementing his sound into modern wrestling lore.

His first major appearance with the company came at WrestleMania 2, where he stood alongside Captain Lou Albano in managing The British Bulldogs to a World Tag Team Championship victory. Throughout the 2000s, he returned to the WWE spotlight multiple times—most memorably as a guest host of Monday Night Raw, where he helped judge a quirky and fan-favorite segment: “Raw’s Got Talent.”
