Papa Roach Bring Out Carrie Underwood in Las Vegas for Powerful Surprise Performance

Papa Roach brought a surprise collaboration to the stage during their April 5th stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV, welcoming Carrie Underwood back for a powerful live rendition of their reimagined track “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark).” The emotionally charged version, centered on suicide prevention and awareness, was originally released as a duet with Underwood in August of last year.

The country megastar has previously expressed her love for the nü-metal genre—most notably during a recent episode of America’s Got Talent—sharing that she’s been a fan since her high school days. Fittingly, Underwood later returned to the stage to join Papa Roach for a live take on their career-defining anthem, the 6x multi-platinum hit “Last Resort.”

Fan-filmed footage from the night also captures a high-energy medley featuring nods to genre icons Korn, Deftones, and Limp Bizkit, further cementing the night as a celebration of nü-metal nostalgia.

Papa Roach are currently on the road for the 25th anniversary tour of their breakout album Infest, which originally dropped in 2000 and has since been certified 4x multi-platinum. The tour features support from Rise Against and Underoath, with remaining dates listed below:
