Pentagram’s Rescheduled UK/Ireland Tour Canceled Amid “Ongoing Complications”

Pentagram’s rescheduled UK and Ireland tour, which had been slated for February 2026, has been officially canceled with no plans to rebook.

Promoter Route One Booking confirmed the news in a statement issued on Friday, December 5, citing “ongoing complications” as the reason for scrapping the run entirely. The promoter noted that multiple dates were already sold out and that the decision came after extensive efforts to keep the tour intact.

“After a tonne of work and a million headaches, we are sad to have to announce that due to ongoing complications, we are left with no choice but to cancel these rescheduled dates for Pentagram,” the statement read.

“With two dates completely sold out and all shows selling well, this is an absolute nightmare for everyone involved.”

Route One Booking also apologized to fans who had held onto tickets after the tour was originally postponed earlier this year, confirming that refunds are available from points of purchase.

“We are very sorry to all the people that had purchased tickets and remained patient when the original tour was postponed in July 2025. Refunds for all tickets sold are available from your point of purchase. There are no plans to reschedule this tour again at any stage in the future.”

The UK and Ireland dates were initially scheduled for earlier in 2025 before being pushed to February 2026 due to unspecified travel issues. At the time of that postponement, the band issued a statement thanking fans for their support and citing unforeseen changes in travel restrictions as being beyond the control of the group, promoters, and management.

While no official reason beyond “ongoing complications” has been given for the cancellation, some fans have speculated that visa-related issues may have played a role. The UK maintains strict entry rules for individuals with certain criminal convictions, including sentences exceeding 12 months, a situation that has previously impacted touring artists.

Pentagram vocalist Bobby Liebling’s past legal history has drawn renewed attention in recent years, particularly following a viral meme earlier this year that significantly raised the veteran doom metal band’s profile. That increased visibility also led to greater scrutiny of Liebling’s past, including his struggles with substance abuse and multiple legal issues.

In 2017, Liebling was sentenced to 18 months in prison in Rockville, Maryland, after being convicted on a charge of physical abuse and neglect of a vulnerable adult. Former Pentagram bassist Greg Turley stated at the time that Liebling assaulted his elderly mother during what he described as a drug-induced episode. After his release, Liebling rejoined the band in 2019, with Pentagram stating that he was “remorseful and rehabilitated.”

Earlier this year, Pentagram’s planned first-ever tour of Australia and New Zealand was also canceled following local opposition to the booking.

As of now, Pentagram have not issued a separate statement regarding the UK and Ireland tour cancellation.
