Longview, TX-based alternative rock band Post Profit has announced the departure of their frontman and guitarist, Matthew Jackson. The band, currently signed to SharpTone Records, released their label debut Self Defeater this past August, marking a significant milestone in their career.
Post Profit broke onto the scene with their blend of alternative rock, post-hardcore, and grunge influences, earning attention with their energetic live performances and emotive songwriting. As they continue to grow, the departure of Jackson marks a major shift for the group.
The band addressed the lineup change in an official statement shared via social media:
We’re saddened to announce that Matthew Jackson has decided to step away from Post Profit. We fully support his decision and wish him the best moving forward.
Unfortunately, this means we must cancel our upcoming European tour with Wayside. We’re incredibly sorry to disappoint our fans overseas, and we’re grateful for your understanding during this time. Wayside will still be doing the tour, and will be announcing a replacement for Post Profit soon.
Thank you for your continued support through this challenging time — we’ll be back soon.
Nick, Zach, Charles

Post Profit has yet to announce a replacement or plans for the future, but fans can likely expect more updates soon. Stay tuned as the band moves forward in this new chapter.
