Power Trip Confirm 2026 ‘Infest’ Festival Appearance Following Recent Studio Sessions

Texas crossover thrash outfit Power Trip have been confirmed among the early lineup announcements for the 2026 edition of Infest Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, arriving alongside news that the band have recently been active in the studio.

The appearance follows a stretch of recording activity with producer Jacob Hansen, known for his work with acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder and Arch Enemy. The sessions mark one of the first clear updates on new material from the band following their recent return to activity.

Power Trip signed with Blue Grape Music in March, continuing a new chapter for the group following the 2020 passing of frontman Riley Gale. Vocal duties have since been handled by Seth Gilmore of Skourge.

The upcoming material is expected to be the first release from the band since Gale’s death, making the current recording period especially significant for longtime fans.

Meanwhile, the Infest Festival has begun rolling out its 2026 lineup, with Power Trip positioned among the early confirmed headliners for the three-day event, scheduled for September 4–6 in Edmonton.
