PRIMUS Debut New Single Featuring MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN

Primus have officially unveiled their latest studio single—a new collaborative track featuring none other than Maynard James Keenan of Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. The song made its first appearance during the opening night of last month’s ‘Sessanta v2.0’ tour and is now available in its full studio form.

This new track sees Primus and Keenan reunite once again, though unlike last year’s joint effort, this marks a proper Primus release. The song stands on its own and isn’t tied to any larger collaborative project.

It also represents a major moment for the band internally, as it’s their first recording to feature new drummer John Hoffman. Hoffman landed the gig earlier this year after a highly competitive audition process that reportedly drew thousands of applicants.

“It’s always a wild ride working with Maynard,” the band shared. “This time, we took that energy and shaped it completely within the Primus framework.”

The release comes as the ‘Sessanta’ tour continues across North America, with Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle sharing the stage in celebration of Keenan’s 60th birthday.
