Multi-platinum alternative metal outfit Primus have unveiled a new music video for “The Ol’ Grizz,” a track featured on their recent EP “A Handful Of Nuggs.”
The newly released visual was directed by Cage Claypool, the son of Primus vocalist/bassist Les Claypool, continuing the family involvement that has become part of the band’s recent creative output. The partially animated clip brings the eccentric track to life ahead of the band’s upcoming European and UK touring plans.
“The Ol’ Grizz” originally appeared as a new addition to “A Handful Of Nuggs,” which arrived this past May. The song will also be included on Primus’ forthcoming tenth studio album, which the band currently expect to release in 2027.
The track and accompanying EP were inspired by Les Claypool’s recent interest in gold prospecting, adding another unusual chapter to the band’s long-running creative journey.
