Prince Of Failure, the new collaboration between Daniel Tompkins of TesseracT and Paul Ortiz of Chimp Spanner, have released a music video for their latest single “Jaded Mantra.”
The song serves as the second preview of the duo’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which is set to arrive on June 19 through Kscope.
Discussing the meaning behind the track, the band described it as a thematic finale centered around transformation and acceptance:
“The closing song – a mantra of resignation and rebirth. This is the point of full acceptance: the Prince and I become one. The old self dies so that the integrated self may live.”
Like the project’s debut single “Horizon,” the new track is accompanied by a visual directed by Michael Levine.
Prince Of Failure first emerged earlier this year as a creative outlet combining the atmospheric progressive elements both Tompkins and Ortiz are known for through their respective projects.
