PROFANATICA Reportedly Sold Vial of Founder’s Semen at Recent Show

Black/death metal outfit Profanatica are currently on a North American tour with support from Knoll and Unidad Trauma, and their latest round of merch is making headlines for all the wrong—or depending on your perspective, right—reasons.

During a recent stop on the trek, the band reportedly offered a vial of founding member and drummer Paul Ledney’s semen for sale at their merch table. The unconventional item was priced at $50 and, according to fan accounts, it was in fact purchased.

The bizarre move was seemingly foreshadowed by a series of tongue-in-cheek social media posts promoting the tour, with the band repeatedly using the phrase “cum to the show” in place of “come.” While many assumed it was simply part of the group’s dark and provocative branding, the semen vial was apparently a very real offering.

A fan on social media using the handle @awaywithwords confirmed the sale in response to a circulating photo of the merch table:

“Yes, Paul Ledney did manage to sell his semen for $50. No, I didn’t buy it. Also we tore up a bible, people cheered me on as I spit on it, ate it, and tore it up in front of everyone. Best time of my life. 10000/10 experience.”

The rest of Profanatica’s tour is underway, and there’s no official word on whether more such “collectibles” will appear at future dates. The remaining shows include:
