Belgian psychedelic post-metal trio PSYCHONAUT have announced their highly anticipated new album World Maker, due out October 24th through Pelagic Records.
The album arrives alongside a striking music video for the single “Endless Currents”, directed by Toon Persyn. The clip marks the first preview of what the band describe as their most emotionally resonant material to date. World Maker was produced by Chiaran Verheyden (Hippotraktor) in collaboration with the band.
A press release reveals that the record was deeply influenced by a turbulent period in the band’s life—marked by the joy of new fatherhood and the grief of terminal illness within the families of two members. The label describes the album as:
“Breathtaking in its uncompromising clarity: a father singing to his newborn son as a son bids his own father farewell.”
