Psycroptic have debuted a new music video for “Ashes Of A New Dawn” ahead of tomorrow’s release of their latest studio album, ‘The Pulse Of Annihilation.’
The new visual was directed by NJV Media and arrives just days before the Australian technical death metal outfit officially unleashes the highly anticipated record on July 17.
Speaking about the track, Psycroptic bassist Todd Stern shared his enthusiasm for the song, highlighting its dynamic nature and intensity.
“Loooooove this song. It’s the type of song that gives you imagery as you listen. Slow, melty intro… next thing you know you have to run for your life. Great moments of intensity, all in good fun. It’s aggressive as fuck but it’s also like a party song! Highly recommended.”
Vocalist Jason Peppiatt also commented on the song’s lyrical connection to the band’s past material.
“Lyrically, this song is kind of a sequel to ‘Ashes Of Our Empire’ off the Divine Council album but musically it’s a total Joe Haley riff fest!”
In addition to the new video, Psycroptic have announced a special YouTube livestream and Q&A session celebrating the arrival of ‘The Pulse Of Annihilation.’
The livestream is scheduled to begin tonight, July 16, at 7:00 PM PST / 10:00 PM EST, giving fans an opportunity to hear more about the album directly from the band and participate in a live question-and-answer session ahead of its official release.
‘The Pulse Of Annihilation’ marks the latest chapter for the long-running Tasmanian death metal outfit and arrives amid continued anticipation from fans of the band’s technically complex and relentlessly aggressive sound.
