PSYCROPTIC Sign with Metal Blade Records, Drop New Single “Architects Of Extinction”

Tasmania’s own Psycroptic have officially joined the legendary Metal Blade Records roster. The technical death metal outfit, known for their crushing riffs and razor-sharp precision, are currently wrapping up work on their upcoming ninth full-length album — and to celebrate their new label home, they’ve unleashed a punishing new single, “Architects Of Extinction”, accompanied by a video directed by Robert Brens.

Guitarist Joe Haley reflected on what the signing means to the band:

“Having grown up listening to countless amazing bands on the Metal Blade roster, the label had a big impact on shaping who we are as musicians, essentially becoming an integral part of our creative DNA. Metal Blade has always represented the pinnacle of heavy music… so we’re beyond honored to announce that we’re officially joining the Metal Blade family — a surreal and humbling moment for all of us in Psycroptic.”

Bassist Todd Stern added:

“As Psycroptic prepares to release our ninth full-length studio album, we couldn’t be more excited about the fact that we’ve joined forces with the one and only Metal Blade Records. We feel that at this point in our career, both the timing and the fit are seemingly perfect.
