Psycroptic Announce New Album ‘The Pulse Of Annihilation’, Premiere “Gathering A Venomous Herd”

Australian technical death metal outfit Psycroptic have officially announced their ninth studio album, ‘The Pulse Of Annihilation’, set for release on July 17th through Metal Blade Records. The upcoming effort marks the band’s first release with the label following their lengthy tenure with Prosthetic Records.

To coincide with the announcement, the Tasmanian band have debuted the record’s first single, “Gathering A Venomous Herd,” alongside an accompanying music video directed by Robert Brens.

Guitarist Joseph Haley once again handled production duties for the album at his own Crawlspace Productions studio. Speaking on the direction of the record, Haley shared:

“‘The Pulse Of Annihilation’ is pretty much the culmination of everything that has come before. As with past releases, we never force anything stylistically and just let the songs manifest of their own accord – maintaining progression while remaining very much Psycroptic. Because of this, I feel this is our most epic, thrashing, technical while grooviest release yet.”
