Puddle Of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Arrested for Domestic Violence and Drug Possession in California

Wes Scantlin, frontman of multi-platinum post-grunge band Puddle Of Mudd, was taken into custody in the early hours of March 11th following a domestic disturbance call in Torrance, CA. According to TMZ, officers responding to the scene determined that a physical altercation had taken place between Scantlin and his girlfriend. A search of the musician reportedly uncovered an undisclosed controlled substance.

As of now, Scantlin remains in custody at an L.A. County Jail, facing felony charges for domestic violence and drug possession. His bail has been set at $90,000.

The troubled vocalist has had a long history of legal issues and erratic behavior. Despite a period of apparent sobriety in recent years, incidents have continued to surface. In 2024, he was involved in an armed standoff with police, and just last week, he claimed he was “roofied” by a former bandmate following a disastrous live performance that raised concerns about his condition on stage.
