The RADAR Festival has revealed the first wave of artists booked for its 2027 edition, with Arcane Roots, Volumes, Unprocessed, Conjurer and Textures among the names joining previously announced headliner Mick Gordon.
The next edition of the festival will take place July 30 through August 1 at Magna in Sheffield, UK, marking a new home for the event. Gordon will perform his orchestral live interpretation of the soundtrack to the 2016 ‘DOOM’ video game, which was previously announced as a headlining attraction.
The newly announced lineup also includes:
- Arcane Roots
- Volumes
- Unprocessed
- Conjurer
- Textures
- Vower
- Allt
- Avralize
- The Algorithm
- Karmanjakah
- XO Armor
- Revnoir
- TheBoyShadow
- Leeched
- Every Hell
- Cold Night For Alligators
- Brightshade
- Worn Out
- Blood Lament
- Your Personal Vendetta
Festival organizer Catherine Jackson-Smith said bringing Arcane Roots onto the bill had been a long-standing goal for RADAR, making their return from hiatus an especially fitting addition to the 2027 lineup.
“We couldn’t let Mick Gordon play on his own, and since day one of RADAR we’ve lamented not being able to book Arcane Roots – so as soon as they came back from hiatus, we knew that was a match made in heaven.”
Jackson-Smith also highlighted the return of Unprocessed and Volumes, along with live appearances from The Algorithm and Textures, while emphasizing the festival’s focus on introducing newer artists to its audience.
The move to Magna will also bring a new feature to the festival in the form of a dedicated RADAR pub. The space, dubbed The Geezer’s Arms, will be operated by the Pintglass landlord collective.
“Welcoming back old friends such as Unprocessed and Volumes, plus hosting returns from The Algorithm (live) and Textures, and introducing the RADAR community to some new bands we’ve discovered is exactly what we do best – and housing it at our new home is Magna is the perfect start to our next chapter.”
More artists are expected to be announced for RADAR 2027 ahead of the festival’s return to Sheffield.
