Randy Blythe Let Fan Battling Stage 4 Cancer Shave His Head Backstage At Welcome To Rockville

Randy Blythe, frontman of Lamb Of God, shared an emotional moment with a fan battling stage 4 breast cancer during last weekend’s Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Blythe, who has recently appeared with a shaved head, revealed the reason behind the change after teaming up with the Living The Dream Foundation to spend time with a fan named Jessyca, a single mother currently fighting stage 4 cancer.

As part of the experience, Blythe invited Jessyca backstage at the festival to personally shave his head in a show of solidarity and support.

Later that evening, Jessyca watched Lamb Of God’s set from side stage, where Blythe acknowledged her in front of the crowd and led fans in a chant against cancer. She also reportedly received stage-used memorabilia and additional gifts from the band.

The gesture continues a long history of charitable and awareness-driven efforts from Blythe throughout his career.

Back in 2016, Blythe auctioned off his personal gold record to raise money for cancer research. Two years later, he also auctioned his GRAMMY medallion to support research into Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy.

In a further full-circle moment, that same medallion was later donated to a fundraiser connected to Blythe’s own family, helping raise money during his sister-in-law’s battle with breast cancer.

Blythe has also previously honored fans through Lamb Of God’s music itself, including the band’s 2016 song “The Duke,” which paid tribute to fan Wayne Ford following his battle with leukemia.
